We've had a home in Spain for more than 14 years and are currently working on making the country our permanent base.

If you're familiar with what3words (if you're not now you soon will be) we live at dossier.bath.sawn

Summer is here – kind of!

Well, it certainly seemed like summer is here when we travelled down to Almuñécar last week – lovely t-shirt weather on Wednesday.

Maureen and I decided to have a few days away even with the current travel restrictions and Almuñécar is one of few seaside destinations that is still inside of Granada. Salobreña is another but after our last trip there – no thanks – it looks like it was build for people who already live in tiny boxes. One night there and someone had a go at the car windows. Never again.

Almuñécar on the other hand, lovely.

The weather was great and so we thoroughly checked out the seafront before heading inland into the town to visit Parque El Majuelo (our first visit for a few years – the park is free to visit).

On our second night, we met up with friends Steve and Sue for drinks after the two of us dined at a great Indian restaurant on the edge of town along the seafront.
